Every stone is recorded in and out. For anything significant you are welcome to watch it come out and go back in.
Tap the ring gently next to your ear. A faint rattle means a stone is moving in its setting, and a moving stone is a stone on its way out. Retipping four prongs costs a fraction of replacing a centre diamond.
The same goes for a band that has worn thin on the underside. Rebuilding a shank is routine. Recovering a ring that snapped while you were wearing it is not always possible.
Bring the piece in and I will look at it under magnification and tell you what it needs and what it costs — including telling you when it does not need anything. Bring a written quote from another jeweler and I will beat it or tell you I cannot.

Most straightforward resizes turn around quickly. Eternity bands and pavé take longer because stones have to be repositioned.
